This is life on the edge of an island called Hydra in the Saronic Gulf of Greece. It is rugged, romantic and spectacular all in the same breath. I discovered the viewpoint for this painting last October when I was there with my wonderful group on a sailing trip, even though I'd been to this island many times. Pamela introduced me to her lovely corner of the world in 1992 and I have loved it ever since, returning as often as I can gather enough people to make it happen. Anyone tempted?
