Sunflowers, simply put, make me happy. They are like tangible sunshine because of their color and shape. Here I am sitting in a field of them in the south of France, feeling a lot like Van Gogh since I wasn't that far from where he'd spent time painting. The bees were buzzing, the sun pounding down and the moment forever etched in my mind. Sunflowers come in all shapes and sizes and I hope you enjoy this single bloom in its simple little vase. 6"x6" stillife oil on panel
