Perfectly Purple

Still another watercolor and this time we've moved to Provence to an area near Sault. While there are lavender farms here and there throughout the south of France, this region is known for the fragrant purple fields in particular. You can visit a museum and distillery as well as find about 10,000 amazing vantage points. The last time that Leslie and I were there, we were pinching ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming. It was a perfect day in every way and while painting we were listening to the soundtrack from Emelie. A long while back when I first began blogging, I included a photo of the two of us knee deep in this same bit of purple heaven.

  1. I really like this, Erin. The watercolor seems to capture the essence of the scene quite nicely.
