This is the Napa Valley from the ground floor of a vineyard. Hmmm, are there any additional floors in that case? I really mean that it's at eye level and it's the result of a lovely day I spent in a friend of a friend's backyard over that way. Jessel has arranged some amazing painting locations for us over the years and I love that area almost as much as I do the coast. She's passionate about the coast and tries to hang with me as often as possible too, thus it's the mutual admiration society of both people and places.
I love the light in these trees, Erin! Beautiful depth. The whole painting is infused with a soft glow of light. Lovely!
